SITUATION
Canada and over 120 countries have committed to net-zero emissions by 2050. This transition will require a massive and multipronged approach. MaRS Climate Impact is the flagship cleantech event that happens every November. MaRS Climate Impact is a leading climate technology conference that delves into the ideas and innovations that could help prevent the most disastrous consequences of climate change and build a cleaner future.
SOLUTION
My role as the marketing manager was to oversee all promotional strategies to drive event awareness and ticket sales. From email campaigns, organic social marketing, to paid advertising, I worked with our communications team, design agency, and paid marketing agency to execute a multi-channel strategy.
SUCCESS
With over 1200+ attendees, 100+ speakers, 50+ startups, and 22 sponsors and partners, the 2024 edition of MaRS Climate Impact was the most successful one to date, bringing in sponsors and partners like RBC, BDC, Toronto Hydro, AZURE Magazine and Toronto Star.
